Lego Wii

This was my entry for the Nintendo Shortcuts Showcase contest. I litterally finished it days before the deadline and mailed it to them by express mail. I came up with the idea out of no-where. I just woke up early one morning, pulled out all my Lego’s and started building. After I was done, I decided to make this film. Tell me what you think! If you all like it…I think I’ll do something even more amazing. Oh—btw—I didn’t use my screename (Kooberz) cause I don’t want Nintendo to own that.

An article in Helsingin sanomat June the 2nd 2010 about how people have the right to get cultural products in their mother language. This is not always trivial, and the article talks about computer games.

Laptops – the Apple Macbook Air and the Dell Studio 17

Appleâ??s MacBook Air has been a very popular machine and there have been many people who have jumped at the chance to own one but is this because of the capabilities of the machine or simply the innovative look of this product? The Air has been marketed by Apple as the â??worldâ??s thinnest notebookâ?, however, have been a few claims that have said there was a Mitsubishi laptop from 1997 that was a fraction thinner but there are no other laptops around at the moment that come close to the size of the Air. The design and the engineering of this product is amazing and we would expect no less from Apple laptops, however, this device is very specialised and will no doubt not be as widely used as the standard 13-inch Macbook system. This could be because the MacBook Air has a few well-documented downfalls; it only has room for one USB port and no room for a built-in optical drive, mobile broadband, Ethernet or Firewire. On top of this, Apple still refuses to include a media card reader or an SD expansion slot in their laptops. However, there are of course some all-important plus-points; the ability to wirelessly connect to another systemâ??s optical drive and new touchpad gesture controls. If youâ??re after an Apple Mac but arenâ??t sure whether the Air is for you then you will need to think of what you want from your laptop. For those who travel around a lot and who would benefit from a light-weight machine but with the extra screen space and who tend to hook up to the internet using Wi-Fi hot spots will probably be very impressed with the Air and its £1,199 price tag. If your needs are more complex and the high tech Apple MacBook Air doesnâ??t impress you too much in the looks department anyway then perhaps the new Dell Studio range laptops will suit you more. Dell laptops are made for a range of different prices but if you donâ??t want to be seen with the a cheaper Dell Inspiron laptop but the XPS range is well beyond your budget then the new Studio range could be just what youâ??ve been looking for. The Dell Studio 17 model can, like all Dell laptops, be customised to make it exactly what youâ??ve been looking for. The options start from the entry-level 1.73GHz Pentium Dual Core T2370 and work their way up to the 2.5GHz T9300 model. This means that there are choices of this laptop that will suit most budgets and performance needs. This model also has an HDMI output port and comes with a choice of three panels for its 17-inch screen; again, you can customise the screen in order to get the laptop of your dreams and with a price tag of £499, this sounds like a real bargain.

The Apple MacBook Air has a fantastic design, but you wouldnâ??t expect anything less from Apple laptops. If you want an Apple Mac but youâ??re not sure whether the Air is for you or not, the best thing to do is to think about what you want from a laptop. Dell laptops are sold for a range of different prices.

Taking Xbox 360 in a Flash Drive

Taking Xbox 360 in a Flash Drive

The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft in co-operation with IBM, ATI and SiS.  With its Xbox live service, players can compete on line and download arcade games such as game demos, TV shows, trailers, music videos or rented movies.  Xbox 360, which is the successor to Xbox, is the seventh generation gaming system competing with Sony’s play station 3.

The Xbox 360 – launched on MTV on May 12, 2005 – is the first console to provide a near simultaneous launch across three major regions with wireless controller support.  The console sold out completely at release and as of September 2007, 13.4 million units have been sold worldwide with a variety of three versions.

Development:  Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox FS, Xbox Next or Next Box were the initial names during development of Xbox 360.  Before the advent of Xbox 360 using Apple’s Power Mac G5 hardware, several alpha development kids were spotted.

Xbox 360 launch:  The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005 in the United States of America and Canada.  Microsoft had officially launched Xbox 360 in thirty six countries in its first year of launch, more countries than any console had launched in a single year and because of its early launch, the Xbox 360 has taken the lead on both of its competitors, Sony’s play station 3 and Nintendo’s Wii.

There are three standard variants in Xbox 360.  Xbox 360 Arcade, the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Elite.

The Xbox 360 Core was an entry level now replaced by Xbox 360 Arcade.  The core system is the bundle of composite video cables, capable of only SDTV resolutions.  The Xbox 360 Core may utilize a separately sold 20 or 120 GB Hard Drive.

The Xbox 360 Arcade is the replacement for Xbox 360 Core.  It includes a wireless controller, 256 MB memory unit, composite AV cable, HDMI 1.2 output, 5 Xbox Live Arcade titles with packaging labeled ‘go play’ and also a ‘welcome video’ and several game trailers/demos.

The Xbox 360 generally called the ‘premium’ or ‘pro’ has all the features of the Xbox 360 core and has a combination of composite cable and component cable.  The Xbox 360 also has a detachable 20 GB Hard Disc Drive which stores downloaded content, compatible with original Xbox games and store game data.

The Xbox 360 Elite is the fourth and most expensive variation of the console.  It includes a 120 GB Hard Drive and a Matte black finish.  The Elite was released in August 2007.

On the day of Xbox 360’s release, Microsoft added a basic non-subscription service – Silver – to its already established premium subscription based service called Gold.  The Xbox Live Marketplace designed to download purchased or promotional content offers movie game trailer and game demos.

The Xbox Video Marketplace is an exclusive Video Store to download high definition and standard definition television store and movie on to Xbox 360 console.

The Xbox Live Arcade is an on-line service used to distribute downloadable video games to Xbox and Xbox 360 owners operated by Microsoft.

The Xbox 360’s graphical user interface “GUI” is the Xbox 360 dashboard which features five blades and can be launched automatically when the console boots up without a disc.

A new feature called Xbox Original was launched to download original Xbox games directly to Xbox 360

I stopped by MacWorld on Wednesday and I definitely had to get a couple photos of my next phone. ;-)

The camera is behind a round glass case running a demo. So you have to shoot through the glass.

I had to handhold these shots at various distances because the camera was always drawing a crowd. Some of these are taken with a Canon 500D diopter on them the others were shot over the crowd without the diopter.

Obviously I didn’t trust the auto-white balance so the blueish tint to the screen is because I white-balanced for the indoor fluorescent light of the expo hall
